Our Dog Bud Chases Bear from Bird Feeder

Our backyard bird feeder has become a popular spot in the afternoons for a few bears in the area, just north of North Conway, New Hampshire. We take the feeders in at night, but it seems that by 3 pm our furry neighbors get a hankering for a snack. Our dog Bud decided to chase this one out of the yard…and our other dog Bodhi opted out of the chase.
No, the bears around here are afraid of dogs, so they run away as fast as possible….if we let our dog chase a bear, they usually stay away for a week or two. We don’t want them to hurt the bear…

It’s odd, but the dog will chase bears…bears are skittish around dogs…it must be something in their genetic code. I will give Bud some treats for sure…thanks for the comment (hope to make it to NZ next year).
what a badass little dog!!!! theres no bears here in NZ so i wouldnt really know but i MIGHT let my dog go after a bear if it was like a big fuckin rottie or bull mastiff or sumthin with some balls but apparently your little dog has pleanty of balls to take on a bear, give him some extra dog sausage for me
