Wild Bird Release, Part 1

Carly brought a bird through the pet door. I kept it in a cage for about 12 hours and *tried* to release it. I’m hoping within a week there will be a part two to this. I *think* this is a “Song Sparrow”. It’s the most common bird coming to my bird feeder in the front yard at the moment. I’ll eventually do a High Definition bird feeder video but so far I’ve not had enough of a variety of birds to warrent a video.

Yesterday morning I left a camcorder filming a bird feeder for an hour or so. This is a montage of all the visits during that time. Bird spotters are welcome to comment on this video with the names of the species visiting our Buckinghamshire garden.

At my Dad’s bird feeder in Bible Hill, a sparrow that was hatched this spring is making a first trip to the feeder. At the end, there is a little accident, but they are ok. They were back here an hour later, eating again.
