Our backyard bird feeder has become a popular spot in the afternoons for a few bears in the area, just north of North Conway, New Hampshire. We take the feeders in at night, but it seems that by 3 pm our furry neighbors get a hankering for a snack. Our dog Bud decided to chase this one out of the yard…and our other dog Bodhi opted out of the chase.

Here’s a younger bear, not the same one Bud chased into the woods. She’s a yearling, and I didn’t have the heart to let Bud go tearing after her… But, I did let him watch through the window! Silly Bear!
