The Squirrel Buster Plus bird feeder provides freedom to locate your feeder. Since you no longer have to worry about squirrels, you are now free to locate your feeder just about anywhere.
Position your feeder over your favorite window, by your deck or in a nearby tree for those close-up views of the birds. Use wall brackets, branch and extension hooks to hang your feeder. Remember it is the squirrel's weight that triggers the closing mechanism. If a squirrel can reach over from a nearby foothold and avoid placing its weight on the feeder, it will be able to access the birdseed. To overcom this problem, the top of the feeder must be 16 inches from the suspension point and 16" away from any fixed lateral surface. Clearance from the top is important so that squirrels cannot pry off the top of the feeder. Use extension hooks to extend the feeder from its suspension point. This clearance will force squirrels to climb onto the feeder and trigger the closing mechanism.

- Seed Ventilation System - Damp and decaying seed decreases bird traffic and can spread disease. The air in Squirrel Buster Plus rises and escapes through patented water-proof vents at the top of the feeder. The escaping, heated air is replaced by fresh air entering throught the seed ports at the bottom of the tube. The birdseed remains fresh, attracting more birds.
- Adjustable Posi-Grip Perch - Thick, adjustable-length perches with textured surfaces provide a secure and comfortable grip for birds. Attract small birds such as Chickadees and Finches (while deterring larger birds like Grackles and Starlings) by shortening the perches. Perches can also be extended just enough to attract medium-sized birds including Grosbeaks and Woodpeckers.
- The Squirrel Buster Plus can be used with or without the Cardinal RIng System, an optional posi-grip ring designed especially for Cardinals.
- Cardinals prefer to grip a thick textured perch and, because it's awkward for them to turn their short necks to feed, they prefer to face their food source directly. The Squirrel Buster Plus Cardinal Ring System allows Cardinals to eat facing the seed from a secure and comfortable perch.
- You can exclude large nuisance birds such as Grackels, Starlings, and Doves by using variable length perches and the adjustable spring mechanism.
