The reason I'm "answering" is this reminds me of something I saw at someone's home once. The man took a 5 or 10 gal. fish tank and mounted it into his living room window so that the top(open part) of the tank was facing outside (so the tank was laying on it's side) with the tank protruding towards the inside(the living room). He had it all properly insulated around the edges(like an air conditioner would be). He placed bird feed into the tank and you could sit in the living room and watch the birds as they landed in the tank to feed. I thought it was an amazing idea. I hope it is something you can do!
