The thing with Hummzingers is they all have a perch, I cant find one without, are there any? and that makes the birds lazy and they sit and feed, then take off. maybe its ME? but is not the coolest thing about these birds is watching them AS the WINGS are MOVING? why WHY does anyone want to watch one of these birds sitting still? add to that if they are sitting, and this is the time you happen to look at your feeder, from any direction you are at, there is even more chance that you wont even notice they are there at all, and even worse is at sunrise with low light, not cool. That is when they seem to come around allot, and my best times before taking off to work are to see them, all of a sudden something flies away, oh look! oh to late, only saw it for a second. lame. my perky feeder with no perch works great, but it has yellow flowers.
I am looking all over and I cant seem to find a feeder, like this: no perch, no yellow, plastic or glass, easy to clean feeder and parts, hanging type. can anyone tell me? thanks.

This was a bad choice for my area because, the flickers just sit on it and suck the thing dry. There is just to much space on top for the bigger birds to hang out.

The only feeder to use–solid, safe, birds love it. The mote keeps ants out (and is a handy water source for chickadees). Sorry to override another reviewer but the birds have tongues that extend beyond their beaks, and so can reach all the way to the bottom just fine, though the feeder should be cleaned and the water changed way before it comes to that, every day or two in hot weather. Cleaning is easy — a little brush through the feeding holes and pop it into the top of the dishwasher.

Well designed with molded flower ports that are easy to clean. Small capacity means no more discarding old syrup; the hummingbirds prefer these feeders to the larger capacity models. As the hummingbirds are fiercely territorial it is better to provide multiple feeders of this size.
